In 1937, Chrysler Corporation launched the DeSoto truck brand to expand the international distribution of Dodge and Fargo trucks manufactured in the United States. Chrysler stopped selling trucks in foreign markets in 1970. However, Askam in Turkey kept using the DeSoto and Fargo names on its trucks.
